For the 4th time annual exhibition of info communication technologies WIC (World. Information. Communications) is taking place on May 14-17 at Krasnaya Presnya Exhibition center. The exhibition will be combined with “Svyaz-Ekspocom-2012” exposition. WIC is organized under the patronage of Russian Ministry of Telecom & Mass Communications.
This time the main theme of this special exhibition wil be «The Digital World». Leaders of the industry of mass communications and information technology will show will show their potential for work and creating digital content, audiovisual production, software, building platforms and interfaces for providing services based on modern technologies, data delivery and management.
"Sviaz-Expocomm" and WIC are the central events for the Russian IT Industry and telecommunication branch. In 2011 area of WIC was more than 7500 square meters (net). In total 613 companies from 25 countries have taken part in "Sviaz-Expocomm". On exposition WIC there were brought together 150 industry leaders such as 1С, Cisco, Alcatel Lucent, Disney, Marussia Motors, Nokia Siemens Networks, "Vympelcom" (a brand "Beeline"), "The Voice of Russia", IDES of "Kommersant", "Megafon", "MTS", "The First channel", "Mail of Russia", "Professional media/rambler", "Rostelecom", "SТS-Media", "Envision group» etc. 35 500 experts of the industry visited the exposition. More than 200 events were covered by mass-media.
The business program of the exhibition promises to be rich as usual. For example last year it has included more than 240 actions. WIC became a ground of annual meeting session of Ministry of Telecom & Mass Communications board, “Mass communications council”, the Second Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIGF), «The Best 10 IT-Projects for a State Sector Award» and a discussion «Strategic prospects of development of mass media: technologies, economy, a content».
