WIC is traditionally organized jointly with "Sviaz-Expocomm" and with the support of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation. 

The aim of the event is to promote and develop the ICT sphere in Russia and to create a favorable image on the international scene. 

WIC is not only an effective business platform. Such significant event is attended also by the general public and mass media. Government officials and key figures of the telecommunications sphere are guests and speakers of the event. 

In 2011 WIC and "Sviaz-Expocomm" gathered more than 540 companies from 23 countries, including 70 ICT sphere leaders.
